Meet Our Dermatologist – Dr. Christina Feser, DO, FAAD, FAOCD

Dr. Christina Feser, an Iowa native, joined IC Research in February of 2015.  Dr. Feser specializes in both medical and cosmetic dermatology, including the treatment of acne, psoriasis, eczema, hair loss, skin cancer and disorders of the nails.  She treats both pediatric and adult patients.

Dr. Feser earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA.  She then completed her medical degree at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, in Kansas City, MO graduating Magna Cum Laude.  During this time, she received the Glasgow-Rubin Citation for Academic Achievement, in recognition of females who graduate in the top percentage of their medical school class and was inducted into Psi Sigma Alpha, the National Osteopathic Honor Society.

Dr. Feser completed her internship at University Hospitals, Richmond Medical Center/Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio.  She then completed a dermatopharmacology fellowship at Haber Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery, where she served as a Principal Investigator overseeing multiple clinical trials and received extensive training in alopecia and hair restoration.

Dr. Feser completed her residency training at Michigan State University-Oakwood Southshore Medical Center in Trenton, Michigan.  She received the Koprince Award during this time for her research on androgenetic alopecia and the effects of low level laser therapy.

Dr. Feser has authored multiple articles in peer-reviewed medical journals.  She continues her passion for research, serving as Principal Investigator on numerous clinical trials focusing on acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, alopecia, vitiligo and other skin disorders.  She is a board certified dermatologist and fellow of both the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology.  She is also a member of the Nashville Dermatology Society and the Tennessee Dermatology Society.

Dr. Feser has volunteered her time and skills internationally providing medical relief during mission trips to both Guatemala and Kenya.  In her free time, she enjoys hiking, live music, sporting events and travel.  She remains an avid Kansas City Chiefs and Iowa Hawkeye football fan.
